HeW Online Training Classes

HeW offers online training classes for our software products and services.  Each class listed below is tailored to a specific software functionality or HeW Revenue Cycle Management solution. Click on a link to register for a class and you will receive an email confirmation which can be added to your electronic calendar. All classes are scheduled in Mountain Time. Prior to attending the class, please print the most current version of the appropriate manual found under FAQ 1034, see link above. 

  

ex12 Import Training  

  • Course Overview:  This training course provides an overview of all HeW Revenue Cycle Management services, including how to import claims into the ex12 system, transmit claims for processing, receive and read reports, correct errors, and archive and delete claims.  The course also covers setting up filters, printing claims, changing claim status, copying claims, deleting service lines, copying and pasting data, and the use of the Export List feature. 
  • Prerequisite:  None

  • Class Length:  1 ½ hours

 ex12 Entry Training 

  • Course Overview: This training course provides an overview of all HeW Revenue Cycle Management services, including how to manually enter claims into the ex12 system, transmit claims for processing, receive and read reports, correct errors, and archive and delete claims.  The course also covers setting up filters, printing claims, changing claim status, copying claims, deleting service lines, copying and pasting data, and the use of the Export List feature.

Secondary Training – Professional Claims  

  • Course Overview: Learn how to create and send secondary claims, using ex12for any payer accepting them electronically, including Medicare.  This training is for clients who submit Professional Claims on the CMS-1500/HCFA1500 claim form.
  • Prerequisite: ex12 Import Training or ex12 Entry Training
  • Training Materials:  Print the ex12 MedB MSP Instructions and the ex12 Secondary HCFA Client Instructions on FAQ 1034, click here.

Secondary Training – Institutional Claims

  • Course Overview: Learn how to create and send secondary claims, using ex12, for any payer accepting them electronically, including Medicare. This training is for clients who submit Institutional Claims on the UB04 claim form.
  • Prerequisite: ex12 Import Training or ex12 Entry Training
  • Training Materials:  Print the ex12 MedA MSP Instructions and the ex12 Secondary UB Client Instructions on FAQ 1034, click here.

  • Course Overview: Learn how to verify patient eligibility using the solutions available in ex12.

Medical Necessity Training

  • Course Overview: Learn how to verify if Medicare Medical Necessity policies exist prior to rendering servies and once the claims are in the list of claims area of ex12.

Report Training 

  • Course Overview: This training course provides an overview of how to use Inbox Reports, Analytical Report and Custom Reports. Inbox reports include Payer Reports and other valuable claim tracking reports.  Analytical Reports detail valuable information about billing cycle management, including denial reasons, claim counts, and outstanding payments reports. This course also provides an overview of Custom Reports that HeW can create to meet individual client needs.
