HeW Readiness

As your partner, HeW will work with you to maintain compliance regardless of whether you purchase a new system, upgrade your current system or make no changes at all.  HeW will continue to accept ANSI 4010A1, NSF and print image claim formats from its clients, in addition to the new Version 5010, for all clients using our eX12 software.  Direct Send clients will need to be able to send Version 5010 by January 1, 2012.  You can count on HeW’s products and services being compliant and fully functional within the required timelines.

The Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC) is a voluntary, self-governing, standards development organization established to develop criteria and accredit organizations that electronically exchange healthcare data.  In addition to the full EHNAC accreditation HeW received earlier in 2010, HeW has met the requirements of the EHNAC 5010 Readiness Assessment Program.  This means that EHNAC has certified HeW’s planning and preparation activities to be consistent with CMS industry guidelines for analysis, testing and implementation of the 5010 version of the HIPAA Transaction Set mandated for January 1, 2012.
